Bantayan Island
A flat island of coconut groves in the Visayan Sea, off the northern end of Cebu across the Tañon Strait. It covers 108.77 square kilometres, and most of it lies below 10 metres above the sea. The one taller hill reaches 26 metres, in barangay Atop-atop.
Three municipalities divide the island: Bantayan in the centre, Madridejos in the north, and Santa Fe in the southeast, which is the centre of tourism.
