About Himamaylan City
Himamaylan takes its seafood seriously: fish, oysters, mussels and shrimp all come off its coast in southern Negros Occidental. The Himaya Festival fills the second half of April, running from the 14th to the 25th, which is a long time to keep a town celebrating. About 117,300 people live here, between the cane fields and the water.
