About Miagao
The baroque church at Miagao is one of four Philippine churches on the UNESCO World Heritage list, and the town is happy to be called the Onion Capital of the Visayas as well. Its centre sits on the west bank of the Tumagbok River, a poblacion of eight barangays out of 119, more than any other town in Iloilo can count. The population is 68,163.
