About Passi City
Passi grows pineapples and cane in the middle of Panay, inland and off the coast road that carries everything else. It is the only component city in Iloilo province, which makes it unusual rather than large, though it does cover more ground and earn more than any other local government there. Its Pintados de Passi festival puts painted bodies in the street, borrowing an old Visayan habit.
