About Trece Martires City

Named for thirteen martyrs of the revolution, which is not something most towns are named after, Trece Martires was built as a planned city and then lost the Cavite capital to Imus in 1977. It kept most of the provincial offices anyway, so the capitol business still happens here while the title lives elsewhere.
