A Baroque church from the 17th century, and the home of one of the earliest printing presses in the Philippines. Father Francisco Blancas de San Jose and Tomas Pinpin set the press up here in 1608 and printed books in Spanish and Tagalog.

Dominican friars took over the parish in 1588, a year after it was established. Dutch invaders killed hundreds of Filipinos and Spaniards at the church on 23 June 1647. A historical marker put up in 1939 records both events.
