About Bocaue

On the first Sunday of every July, Bocaue takes the Holy Cross of Wawa down the river in a procession its Catholic majority holds to be miraculous. The town is also the centre of the Philippine fireworks trade, which is why the name turns up in the news every New Year. About 148,000 people live here.
