About Guiguinto

Guiguinto takes its name from ginto, gold, for the colour of the rice when the first Spaniards came through at harvest. It is the birthplace of Constancio de Guzman, who wrote Maalaala Mo Kaya, and it keeps the Immaculate Conception Seminary of the Diocese of Malolos in barangay Tabe. About 118,000 people live here now.
