About San Jose Del Monte City
SJDM, as everyone there writes it, became a city only in 2000 and is now the most populous local government in Bulacan and in all of Central Luzon. Most of that growth came over the border from Metro Manila, into relocation sites and subdivisions that filled the hills fast. It is a very young city in a very old province.
