About Gapan City
Gapan makes shoes. The city calls itself the footwear capital of the north and has the workshops to back the claim, which is an unusual line of work in Nueva Ecija, a province otherwise given over to rice. It sits at the southern end of that rice country, the nearest corner of Nueva Ecija to Manila.
