About San Isidro

For a short stretch of the First Philippine Republic, San Isidro was the capital of the country, after Emilio Aguinaldo moved the government here while retreating north from the Americans. The town now has about 55,100 people in nine barangays, the fewest of any municipality in Nueva Ecija.
