Tarlac is where Kapampangan and Ilocano meet, which is what happens to a landlocked province that everyone drives through on the way between Manila and the north. Two presidents came out of it, Corazon Aquino and her son, both from the family that held Hacienda Luisita. Tarlac City is the capital and the largest, with Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, Zambales and Pampanga on the four sides.
