About Paoay
Paoay Church is why most people stop: a heavy baroque pile with enormous side buttresses, finished in the 1700s and on the UNESCO World Heritage list along with three other Philippine churches. The town around it is small, about 24,200 people, and the rest of Ilocos Norte's tourist traffic passes through on the way to somewhere else.
