About Alilem
Alilem is up in the mountains at the southern end of Ilocos Sur, about 7,700 people in nine barangays. It belongs to the upland side of the province rather than the coastal strip where nearly everyone else lives. Ilocos Sur has a handful of towns like this, small and high up and easy to miss.
