About San Fernando City
San Fernando is the capital of La Union and the administrative centre for the whole Ilocos Region, which puts the regional offices and a good share of northern Luzon trade in one coastal city. It is also where Ilocano cultural work gets organised. The Ma-Cho Temple on the rise above town is the other landmark, Chinese and unmistakable from the road.
