About El Nido

El Nido is Spanish for the nest, and the town is the jumping off point for the Bacuit archipelago, the limestone islands that most Palawan boat tours are built around. The whole municipality is a managed resource protected area, beaches and coral reefs included. About 51,000 people live here, and a good many more pass through.
