Tabon Caves
A cave system at Lipuun Point where jar burials and prehistoric human remains have come out of the ground since the 1960s, the Tabon Man among them. The site is known as the country's cradle of civilization.
Of 215 known caves here, 29 are fully explored and seven are open to visitors. Material that was dug out but not yet examined is stored on site. The National Museum runs the reservation and declared it a National Cultural Treasure in February 2011. The caves take their name from the Tabon scrubfowl, and the town proper of Quezon lies just to the south.
