Mount Dulang-dulang
The second highest mountain in the country at 2,938 metres, in the Kitanglad Mountain Range. Indigenous people of Bukidnon hold it sacred, and it stands inside their ancestral domain.
You must get permission from the Talaandig tribal leaders of Lantapan before you enter, under the Free, Prior and Informed Consent rule of the Indigenous Peoples' Rights Act. The trek to the summit is long and goes through dense old forest, where the trees carry moss and lichen. From the top you see the whole Kitanglad range, and on clear days the distant Mount Apo. The shortest way to the start of the climb is through Sitio Bol-ogan in Barangay Songco.
