About Cebu City

Cebu City is where the lechon argument ends for most Filipinos, and where the Sinulog fills the streets every third Sunday of January for the Santo Nino. It is the oldest Spanish settlement in the country, and Magellan's Cross still stands in its small pavilion downtown. The city is the capital of Cebu province and administratively independent of it at the same time, which nobody bothers to explain any more.
