About Kabankalan City
Kabankalan holds its own Sinulog every January, which surprises visitors who assume the festival belongs to Cebu. It is the second most populous city in Negros Occidental after Bacolod and second in income too, and it has applied for highly urbanised status, which would take it out of the province's hands. Its ground runs from the coast back into the southern interior.
