About Casiguran
The name Casiguran is said to come from the Ilocano sigod, meaning edge, for the town's place at the northern edge of Aurora. Another legend holds that an unmarried stranger who turns up here ends up married and staying for good. The Amro River protected area lies inside the municipality, which has about 26,900 people.
