About Malolos City
The First Philippine Republic was written in Malolos, at Barasoain Church, in the 1898 convention Emilio Aguinaldo led, and the church is still there doing duty as a parish and a national landmark at once. The city is the capital of Bulacan, a province with a long reputation for poets and singers that it does not let you forget.
