About Candon City
Candon grows more Virginia tobacco than anywhere else in the country and calls itself the tobacco capital because the claim holds. The other local product is kalamay, the sticky coconut and sugar paste sold by the jar. It has more people than Vigan, the provincial capital up the coast, which nobody expects.
