About Marikina City

Marikina makes shoes, and has done it long enough that the country treats the city and the trade as one word. There is a shoe museum, and the riverbanks were cleaned up into a park the rest of the metro still envies. It sits on the eastern edge of Metro Manila, where the road out to Rizal and Quezon begins.
