Every June 24 San Juan throws water at everybody, which is what the feast of John the Baptist has turned into here, and nobody gets through the city dry. It is the smallest city in the country by land area, sitting at the geographic centre of Metro Manila, and it is where the Katipunan fought its first battle in 1896.
