About Dumaguete City

Dumaguete is a university town before it is anything else. Four large universities pull students in from across the Visayas and Mindanao, Silliman the oldest and best known, and term time sets the pace of the place. It is the capital of Negros Oriental, the most populous city in the province on the least land of any of them, and the seafront is where everybody ends up in the evening.
